Nike Release Dates 2014: KD VI 'Neutral', KD VI EXT 'Floral' Arriving At Retailers

The upcoming colorways of Kevin Durant's signature shoes are expected to make waves on the sneaker market again this weekend.

First up is the newest colorway of the KD VI basketball sneaker, which will be released in what is labeled as the "Neutral" edition of the shoe on Saturday in select Nike Stores worldwide.

This edition of Durant's sixth signature shoe with Nike features an anthracite grey and mica green upper part accented with team orange hints on the outsole, lining, Nike Swoosh, and KD logo.

According to Nike, the term "Neutral" reflects the Oklahoma City Thunder's on-court demeanor and his MVP-worthy performances inside the hardcourt this season.

Durant, the leading MVP candidate in the 2013-14 NBA season, is averaging 31.8 points to go along with 7.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game this season.

"Like KD's game itself the KD VI 'Neutral' reflects an even-keel approach interwoven with a quick burst of flash. The bright Total Orange Swoosh, midsole and KD logo provide an eye-catching contrast to the cool dark tones of the Anthracite upper. Think of the slate color of the blacksmith's iron, slowly transforming through heat. This is a shoe forged by fire-streamlined, supportive, and red-hot," Nike noted.

This excellent-looking edition, which is officially listed as the Anthracite/Total Orange-Team Orange-Mica Green colorway of the KD VI, will sell at $130 per pair starting 8 a.m. EST, Saturday.

And to be released simultaneously with the "Neutral" edition is the Nike Sportswear counterpart of the signature shoe - the KD VI EXT.

The KD VI EXT will also debut on the sneaker market this Saturday in a multi-color/black colorway, which is labeled as the "Floral" edition.

The KD VI EXT "Floral" features a full floral print on the upper part with black lining and laces. The lifestyle sneaker also sports a white midsole, icy blue translucent outsole, and team orange hints on the air unit near the heel area.

Once this shoe hits the market, Durant will become the latest Nike signature athlete to have a Nike Sportswear extension of his performance model or basketball sneaker.

"Durant's latest lifestyle model adds him to the short list of signature athletes with Sportswear extensions of their performance models," Nike noted.

The KD VI EXT "Floral" will also sell at $130 per pair on a limited basis in select Nike Stores worldwide.
