Robin Thicke Spotted Without Wedding Ring, Talks About 'Forgiveness' at NYC Concert
Since Paula Patton filed for a divorce late last month, her estranged husband Robin Thicke has made a number of public declarations that he has not given up on their two-decade relationship. However, on Friday, he made a confusing statement when he was spotted without his wedding ring.
During his concert at Madison Square Garden on Friday, the 36-year-old singer stressed the importance of "forgiveness" and "doing whatever it takes" to maintain family relationships.
In a video posted on TMZ taken at the New York City concert, the "Blurred Lines" singer took a moment between songs to talk to his fans. During his speech, he opened up about the concept of sharing a life of success and fame with a significant other.
"Once you get there if you don't have friends or family it doesn't mean much, you know?" he said,
He continued, "One thing I learned is that when you find that special person, when you find that special someone, you've got to do whatever it takes, you know, and never give up."
"We've got to learn to forgive each other, learn to love each other," he stated, adding, "No matter who it is in your family or relationship.'"
"Because you're always gonna need your friends and family through the good times and the bad times," Robin explained to his fans who—unfortunately for him—did not have a direct line to Paula.
On March 2, Thicke was still wearing his platinum wedding band when he hit the stage at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City and performed Al Green's classic love song "Let's Stay Together." According to the Daily Mail, when a fan yelled, 'I love Paula!' he responded, "I do, too!"
