'50 Shades of Grey' Movie News: EP Dana Brunetti Talks 'Fifty Shades' at 2014 Oscars [Videos]
"Fifty Shades of Grey" executive producer Dana Brunetti kept his lips sealed at the 2014 Oscars, revealing very little about the highly anticipated film adaption of the best-selling erotic novel.
In a red carpet interview with Access Hollywood on Sunday, Brunetti quelled rumors that the movie would receive a NC-17 rating, stating that although the movie will be spicy, it will be rated R.
"Yeah, but it's sexy and hot!" said the EP, who was accompanied by his date Kristin Chenoweth.
Chenoweth chimed in that her parents from Oklahoma kept inquiring about the upcoming movie, asking "Is that a porn?"
Brunetti responded saying, "We've wrapped. It's not a porn. We've wrapped and [are] waiting for the first cut."
Brunetti also remained tight-lipped on the 2014 Oscars red carpet while speaking with MTV News about the film, which is slated to debut next February.
"We just wrapped; we'll talk about it in a year from now," he said, adding that fans can expect the movie to stay true to the saucy book written by British author E.L. James.
"E.L. was there every day," he said of the author's participation in the movie. "She was very hands-on. To have the author there definitely makes it pretty faithful."
When asked when fans can expect a sequel to the movie, Brunetti said, "I have no idea yet. We haven't even started discussing that yet. We just want to get this one wrapped and get it cut. We'll see the cut, see how it goes, and once it's released, we'll start discussing what happens next."
"Fifty Shades of Grey," starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, hits theaters on Feb. 13, 2015.
