Honda Classic 2014 Round 1 & 2 Live Stream: Tiger Woods Looks to End Palm Beach Funk; Preview, Schedule, Pairings, Tee Times, Leaderboard
Seeking his first title of the year, Tiger Woods will try to recapture his groove starting on Thursday, as he kicks off his campaign in the preliminary rounds of the Honda Classic at Palm Beach Gardens in Florida.
Despite experiencing a rough start to the new season, Woods is very optimistic about his chances of playing competitive golf once again at the Honda Classic. The world's top golfer was also glad the tournament is being played near his home in Jupiter, Fla., allowing him to take some rest at home.
"It feels good," Woods told reporters after his round Wednesday via CBS Sports. "I was pleasantly surprised how well I was hitting it today."
"I'm going home to my own remote, my own bed, and those are things that we don't get a chance to do very often," Woods said. "Most sports you spend half the year on the road and half the year at home. Most golfers spend pretty much their entire career on the road."
Cream of the Crop
Woods appeared only three times at the Honda Classic in his entire career, and has never won there.
That streak could continue as he plays against seven of the top 10 golfers in the world, including reigning Masters champion Adam Scott and British Open winner Phil Mickelson.
"The Florida swing starts with the Honda Classic at PGA National (Champion course), where seven of the top 10 golfers in the world will tee it up. Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Adam Scott -- the only three players in the top 64 to skip last week's lucrative WGC Match Play title -- will all return to the Tour at PGA National," SB Nation reported.
