‘Star-Crossed’ Season 1 Episode 3 Spoilers: Roman Tries to Protect Emery, Grayson Will Try to Console Her [Video]
In this week's episode of "Star-Crossed," an explosion, where some guards catch on fire, starts the show off.
While preparing for Roman's father's funeral, Uncle Castor visits and says he wants to take over the tribe. Roman is upset because he feels he is ready to be the leader. And he also wants nothing to do with Emery, who tries to send her condolences.
Emery tries to reunite both worlds at the carnival, something that Roman is opposed to at the beginning. He only goes to protect her from the Trags, and in the end, he comes to the realization that his uncle should lead.
Episode 3, "Our Toil Shall Strive to Mend," will give viewers deeper insight into the war between humans and Atrians.
According to the CW, "It's the 10th anniversary of 'Arrival Day' and the town is preparing a commemoration for the fallen soldiers. Gloria (guest star Victoria Platt) selects a small group of human teenagers who will spend some time inside the sector to see what it's like to be an Atrian for a day."
Emery will volunteer to interview Atrians and will be joined by a group of high schoolers. Grayson, who is an anti-Atrian extremist, will also join the group. The Atrians are endangered by the humans, and Emery is being targeted by the Trags and Roman's uncle.
There will also be more tension between Emery and Roman. She will tell Roman that he "won't even look at her anymore," according to Gossip and Gab.
But he says that the reason he seems so cold is because it's the only way to protect her.
This gives Grayson, who has ulterior motives, the chance to swoop in and try to win Emery over, but this doesn't make her much safer than if she were in a relationship with Roman.
The CW also teases, "While Sophia (Brina Palencia) is excited to show everyone around her pod, Teri (Chelsea Gilligan) and Drake (Greg Finley) resent the intrusion and decide to have a little fun at the humans' expense. However, when Drake is kidnapped during the tour, he's surprised by who is behind the abduction. Meanwhile, Julia (Malese Jow) confronts Roman with her suspicions about cyper."
In an interview with TV Line, Aimee Teegarden, who plays Emery, said not to expect a happy ending very soon for Emery and Roman.
"There's definitely hope for Ronan and Emery down the line," she said. "I'm not saying it'll be this season, or next season, but at some point, I think they'll be together. I mean, there will always be ignorance from outsiders as these two people from different races try to form a relationship and cohabitate, but they have such a magnetic force between them that I think it's inevitable."
"Star-Crossed" airs on Monday at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
