'Arrow' Season 2 Episode 14 Spoilers: Felicity Feels the Need to Prove Herself, Tries to Take on the Clock King [Videos]
Felicity fans will have a lot to look forward to when "Arrow" returns to The CW from its brief hiatus with an all-new "Felicity-centric" episode on Wednesday.
As fans may recall, before the action packed series went on a mid-winter break, Sara Lance rejoined Team Arrow after convincing Nyssa al Ghul to release her from her oath to the League of Assassins. She and Oliver also rekindled their romance while Laurel continued to spiral downward after discovering that her sister was still alive after all these years, reports Hypable.
In a preview video about the upcoming episode, executive producer Marc Guggenheim teased that "Time of Death" will be a very "fun, Felicity-centric episode." Not only will she have a tough time dealing with Oliver and Sara's relationship, but she will play a strong role in stopping The Clock King, a brilliant criminal named William Tockman played by Robert Knepper who plans his crimes with great precision.
After he uses his clever technology to infiltrate the computers in the Arrow lair, Felicity will try to take him on as a way to prove her worth. However, it appears that she will run into some trouble and need the Canary to come to her rescue, reports Cinema Blend.
In the promo clip, Guggenheim asks "Does Felicity have a role to play in Oliver's life or the Arrow's mission?" after she becomes insecure when Sara appears to be sticking around. The preview indicates that The Clock King is just as much Felicity's nemesis, which will give her a chance to prove herself and find her place on Oliver's team.
When asked what "Arrow" episode he is most excited about, lead actor Stephen Amell told TVLine, "It's a tie between the end of 14 ("Time of Death"), and Episode 15 ("The Promise")." He added that "The end of 14 is one of those, 'Oh my God, why can't it be next week already?!' situations."
According to ScreenCrush, the official synopsis for Episode 14 states:
"Oliver (Stephen Amell) brings Sara (Caity Lotz) into the Arrow team. Watching Oliver and Diggle (David Ramsey) spar with Sara and talk old scars, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) starts to feel left out. The team is investigating a villain named William Tockman, a.k.a. The Clock King (guest star Robert Knepper), who is a brilliant thief armed with technology that can open any bank vault in Starling City. After The Clock King infiltrates the computer systems in the lair, Felicity feels pressure to prove her worth. When she gets a lead on Tockman's whereabouts, she heads out without the team, putting her in peril."
The synopsis continues, "Meanwhile, Oliver throws Sara a welcome home party, but Laurel (Katie Cassidy) refuses to attend. After Lance (Paul Blackthrone) makes his case for a family dinner, Laurel acquiesces, but when Oliver shows up with Sara, she loses her temper on both of them."
