Katy Perry loves to accessorize, so teaming up with Claire's is a match made in heaven.

The accessories brand for young women and girls announced today that it has collaborated with the singer on the "Katy Perry PRISM Collection," which will debut in May 2014. This is also when her PRISMATIC World Tour will begin, according to The Sacramento Bee.

"Claire's will be the perfect destination for accessories inspired by my new album, PRISM," said Katy Perry. "I specifically curated these collections to make sure you're show-ready for my PRISMATIC WORLD TOUR, coming to a city near you."

The collection will include limited edition items and collectables that have been inspired by some of her greatest hits. And since there will be seasonal novelty pieces, buyers can also expect these pieces to be updated throughout the year, and it will continue until 2016. Perry will be completely involved in the designing and she will be working with Claire's internal design team.

"Katy aligns perfectly with our brand mission and resonates with our friends and customers around the world. We are thrilled, humbled and honored to embark on this adventure with her; she is the perfect partner for our brand," said Jim Fielding, chief executive officer of Claire's Inc.

Though she has toned it down in recent years, Perry used to hit red carpets covered in bright, fun-colored accessories. She still manages to have fun with her clothes, but she's slightly less colorful.

Perry is the second celebrity to recently endorse Claire's. In Rihanna's interview with Vogue for the March issue, she said that her jewelry comes from the chain store.

"My jewelry's all fake-from Claire's. Or I get it from my mom's boutique in Barbados. Her shop's called FAB-U-LUS."

Guess best friends think alike.
