'The Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Spoilers: Will Katherine and Stefan Hook Up in 'No Exit'?
"The Vampire Diaries" will return from its brief hiatus next week with an all-new, game-changing episode where Enzo will be forced to chain Damon down in order to prevent him from preying on other vampires and Katherine will relentlessly try to seduce Stefan.
In the upcoming Feb. 27 episode, "No Exit," Stefan goes on a mission to reel Damon in from the dark side before he kills his partner-in-crime, Enzo. However, Elena, who is still being controlled and possessed by Katherine, suspiciously asks Stefan if she can join him on the ride to save his brother. Once the two hit the road, we see a shot of Stefan looking under the hood of the car that suggests that Katherine may have sabotaged their wheels. "I saw a hotel. Do you think we should get a room?" she slyly asks Stefan, in a promo video. The next shot then shows Katherine and Stefan getting really close inside of what appears to be a hotel room and a flash shot of a steamy shower scene.
According to TV Guide, Katherine will come "really close" to winning Stefan back during their road trip.
There will also be a lot to look forward to in the rest of Season 5 with the introduction of two new characters. According to E! News, Episode 19 will introduce Enzo's long lost love interest, Maggie, who he met back in 1953. Played by "Hellcats" star Heather Hemmens, Maggie is described as "a kind, warm and engaging medical student, with a compassionate soul and a lot of courage." However, that will be tested when her feelings for Enzo lead her into a dangerous situation.
In Episode 9, "The Cell," Enzo told Damon about how he fell in love with Maggie in 1953 while she was working as a former lab assistant to Dr. Whitmore and performed experiments on him and other vampires.
"She wasn't part of the torture and experiments. For the longest while, she didn't realize Dr. Whitmore was doing more than just observing my behavior," Enzo revealed in the episode, notes E! News. "I didn't have the heart to tell her. I was just so glad of the company. When she finally realized what was going on here, she couldn't bear it. So she said she was sorry and she left."
In addition, TVD has cast a new gay Whitmore student named Luke, played by actor Chris Brochu. E! describes him as fun and charming, but warns that he will have some unexpected insight into how the doppelgangers will be affected by the war between the witches and travelers.
Brochu, who has guest starred on "CSI: NY," "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "Melissa & Joey," will make his debut on TVD in Episode 16 and appear in multiple episodes.
"The Vampire Diaries" returns from hiatus with S5E14, "No Exit," on The CW Thursday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. EST.
