'Bones' Season 9 Spoilers: Will Booth and Brennan Finally Tie the Knot? [Video]
In just little under two months, fans of Fox's hit crime-solving drama "Bones" will get the ninth season they have been eagerly waiting for. Little has been revealed about the upcoming season until the cast of the show hosted its own panel at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
Fans were disappointed last season when Booth (David Boreanaz) was forced to end his brief engagement with Brennan (Emily Deschanel) due to a threat from Pelant (Andrew Leeds). However, the couple's biggest fans may finally be hearing wedding bells this upcoming season.
During the cast's appearance at Comic-Con, they promised fans that Booth and Brennan will finally be tying the knot. Boreanaz even went as far asproposing to co-star Deschanel in front of their fans. Executive producer Hart Hanson promised, "I think it will be better scripted [on the show]."
Hart added, "We're not fooling you-they will get married this season."
The cast also talked about the forthcoming premiere, entitled "The Secret in the Proposal," which will be set three months after the season eight finale,Entertainment Weekly reported. Executive producer Ian Toynton told panel attendees, "The relationship between them will be slightly different and the relationship will be pished to a different place."
He added, "They're in a serious place."
Boreanaz also sat down with TVLine to discuss his character in the season premiere. The actor told TVLine's Michael Ausiello that things will be difficult for Booth in the premiere and that someone from his past will resurface, who will "somewhat help him and may hurt him." As for Pelant, it seems like his days are numbered on the show. Hart answered the moderator's question, "Hart, do you have an idea of how he will die?" with a spoilery "Oh, year....crap." He later tried to backtrack by adding, "Pelant might not die."

"Bones" season 9 premieres on Monday, September 16 at 8 p.m. on Fox. Then on Friday, November 8 it moves to its new 8 p.m. time slot.
