'Beauty and the Beast' Season 2 Episode 14 Spoilers: Vincent Tracks a Beast [Video]
On the latest installment of The CW's "Beauty and the Beast," it's revealed that the archaeologist Sam Landon is not as sweet and innocent as he appears.
In "Till Death," Cat (Kristin Kreuk) runs into Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) down in the dungeons where Tori (Amber Skye Noyes) died. Cat is a bit puzzled when she sees Gabe tracing the beast-scratches on the wall. When confronted by Cat, he tells her he's down there to give her coffee because they haven't seen a lot of each other lately. While they're having a discussion, she has a flashback of Gabe threatening her when he's in beast mode.
Meanwhile, Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so J.T. (Austin Basis) orders an ornate bouquet to be sent to the station to Tess (Nina Lisandrello), yet writes that it's from a "secret admirer."
Vincent (Jay Ryan) then admits that he still has feelings for Cat, yet Cat is still denying her feelings for him.
While the new boss at the station wants Cat and Gabe to get back to other cases besides the beast-related ones, Cat can't seem to pull herself away from them.
After discussing Sam (Tom Everett Scott) and Dana's (Elisabeth Rohm) vow renewal and the search for the person behind the beast-related crimes, Cat calls Gabe to get a search warrant for the prime suspect.
When she calls Gabe, he's lying about where he is and is having his picture taken somewhere. It seems sketchy, but it turns out that he's planning a surprise trip to Mexico with Cat, and is getting his passport renewed.
Cat decides to get Vincent involved to investigate whether Gabe is really trustworthy. He tells her that Gabe is a "boyscout" compared to him, and tells her that she should believe Gabe. Yet, it's clear that the real reason why she has committment issues is because she still loves Vincent.
Later, Cat and Gabe kiss, but it's interrupted by a beastly Vincent, who slams Gabe up against the wall.
Yet, it's later revealed that Gabe is no longer a suspect in the crimes, because it turns out Sam is a villain who is willing to set a bomb off at his own vow renewal.
At the ceremony, Vincent and Gabe find the bomb, and come up with a plan to learn more about Sam's motives by letting him believe that his evil plan succeeded.
In the end of the episode, Vincent looks on in sorrow as Gabe and Cat kiss.
While Vincent and Cat are still not back together, J.T. and Tess get closer. In addition to the flowers, J.T. gets closer to Tess by making up a supposedly closed case to help her keep her job.
On the next episode, Vincent will meet someone from his past when Christopher Heyerdahl ("Supernatural," "Sanctuary") guest-stars as his former mentor Dr. Nicholas Markus.
In the next episode, "Redemption," a mission to save some of Gabe's acquitances leads Vincent back to the hospital where he interned, which is where he and Cat have a slightly awkward run-in in with Dr. Markus. You can watch an exlusive clip of the scene here.
