Amanda Bynes Undergoing Laser Surgery to Remove Angel Wings Tattoo
Amanda Bynes has shown yet another sign that she is set on fading out all links to her troubled past.
It appears that the 27-year-old actress is in the process of removing her angel wings tattoo from her right forearm. On Thursday, she was spotted in her hometown of Thousand Oaks, Calif., but with a dramatically faded version of her angelic tatt, reports the New York Daily News.
Previously, the dark tattoo was very visible. Now, the ink is barely noticeabe while the surrounding skin looks pink and irritated, which led one neighborhood witness to presume that she is undergoing a laser removal process, they told the Daily News.
However, that's not the only transformation that the former child star has endured. After spending months at a luxurious rehabilitation facility called The Canyon, the starlet appears to be a lot healthier and happier since being released into her parents' care in December. Her recent behavior is a complete 180 from when she shamelessly sported a messy platinum blonde wig in public and in court, shaved her head and had multiple run-ins with the law throughout 2013.
She was finally committed to a psychiatric hospital on July 22, 2013 after setting fire to a stranger's driveway around the corner from her parents' home. She was also rumored to have been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
A couple of weeks ago, the former child star, who has expressed an interest in pursuing a fashion career, was spotted touring the Orange County campus of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
Bynes is "now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design," said her lawyer Tamar Arminak. "She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."
On Christmas day, the "Hairspray" star was also spotted taking a stroll outside with her parents, Rick and Lynn, and their dogs in Thousand Oaks, Calif. She was wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans, pink sneakers and sunglasses, reports E! News.
