Before the music industry's biggest star begin accepting awards and performing at the Staples Center in LA on Sunday, they will first walk the red carpet, showing off their one-of-kind ensembles at the 56th annual Grammy Awards.

Red carpet arrivals will begin giving interviews and taking pictures hours before the live award show begins on Jan. 26.

Some of the most memorable moments in the Grammy's red carpet history include Lady Gaga's epic entrance in 2011 when she showed up inside of a gigantic egg, which later hatched in time for her performance, notes the Huffington Post. Also, no one can forget when Jennifer Lopez stepped out in a plunging, sheer Versace dress back in 1999.

Some of the big names sure to leave impression this year include Rihanna, Beyonce and her husband Jay Z.

This year, Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are just a few of the artists leading the way with the most Grammy nominations, however, Jay Z tops them all with a whopping nine nods. The hip hop mogul will be competing in several major categories against newbies like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Kendrick Lamar, the New York Post reports.

Macklemore and Lewis, who picked up a nomination for Song of the Year for their gay marriage anthem "Same Love," were among the nominees in the Best New Artist category, along with the Compton-based rapper Lamar. Both artists received seven nominations apiece.

Pharrell Williams, who is nominated for Best Producer, also scooped up seven nominations along with Justin Timberlake.

Up and coming New Zealand artist Lorde was recognized in the Record and Song of the Year categories for her hit song "Royals," while her album "Pure Heroine" was nominated for pop vocal album. She is also slated to perform at the ceremony.

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcasting live Sunday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
