2014 SAG Awards Red Carpet Live Stream: Watch as Hollywood Continues to Wow in Award Fashion
The 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will honor the best talent in the entertainment business. Films like "12 Years a Slave," "The Butler" and "Captain Phillips" lead the movie nominations, and television programs like "Game of Thrones" "Breaking Bad" and "Homeland" lead the television nominations for best ensemble cast.
While everyone will be waiting with baited breath to hear the winners, the real show will be on the red carpet.
If the trends follow through from the Golden Globe Awards, the red carpet could be awash in red and color-blocking, as the trend of the moment seems to be matching the crimson carpet or wearing two or three-tone frocks.
Some women who will debut new looks will be the ladies nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. The nominees are: Cate Blanchett for "Blue Jasmine," Sandra Bullock for "Gravity," Judi Dench for "Philomena," Meryl Streep for "August: Osage County" and Emma Thompson for "Saving Mr. Banks."
Will Sandra Bullock bounce back from her questionable black, pink and blue Prabal Gurung dress from the Golden Globes? While opinions were divided about her dress, she made many worst dressed lists.
Critics are also wondering whether Cate Blanchett will wow again with a dramatic look, as she donned a glamorous black lace Armani Prive gown at the Golden Globes.
Other stars who will don new dresses on the red carpet will be the nominees for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. The nominees are: Jennifer Lawrence for "American Hustle," Lupita Nyong'o for "12 Years a Slave," Julia Roberts in "August: Osage County," June Squibb in "Nebraska" and Oprah Winfrey in "The Butler."
Jennifer Lawrence always gets tongues wagging about her red carpet looks, be they loved or hated. Her last look--a white Dior gown with black bands around the waist and bottom--was not one of her best, but she may redeem herself with her look tonight.
Lupita Nyong'o stunned in a gorgeous, caped, red Ralph Lauren dress, and could very well stun again tonight with another perfect look.
Julia Roberts will hopefully take a different sartorial tack, as she made a questionable dress choice at the Golden Globes by wearing a white button down shirt under a black, belted Dolce and Gabbana strapless gown.
