'The Division' Comes Free with Logitech's New Gaming Keyboard
Logitech has the perfect keyboard bundle for PC gamers who are gearing up for "Tom Clancy's The Division."
The Switzerland tech company recently unveiled a new gaming keyboard known as the G810 Orion Spectrum. Aside from its cool features and sleek design, the keyboard will come with a free copy of the highly-anticipated open-word RPG "The Division."
Polygon reported that interested takers will receive the game as a pre-purchase perk for the G810 Orion Spectrum. The keyboard will be shipped, as well as go out on sale, in the US starting Feb. 8 for $160. Folks in Europe will be able to purchase the enticing keyboard bundle for €189.
GameSpot clarified that since "The Division" won't be available to the public until March 8, the game won't be shipped with the keyboard next week. Instead, the game will be added to the customer's Uplay account and can only be downloaded simultaneous to the game's official worldwide release.
The G810 Orion Spectrum presents users with a comfortable, convenient and multi-colored gaming experience. It features the company's patented Romer-G mechanical key switches which have a 25 percent faster reaction time compared to average keyboard keys, per the official Logitech blog post.
The cutting-edge gaming accessory also comes with its own multi-media toggles, allowing users to control background music or videos directly from the keyboard. Users can also customize the backlight of each individual key with close to 17 million color options to choose from.
Logitech indicated that the G810 Orion Spectrum was developed in accordance with what PC gamers wanted from their keyboards. The company said its new model is designed to provide utmost gaming performance.
As for "The Division," the latest entry into the popular Tom Clancy video game series is a third-person shooting game that is set in post-apocalyptic New York. An elite tactical group is tasked to investigate a deadly pathogen and put a stop to the rampant chaos.
Players will brandish different kinds of weapons which they can upgrade throughout the game. Player-progression and teamwork are vital since teams will be facing enemy factions along the way, Engadget reported.
Ubisoft told VG247 that the game is best played in online multi-player mode with friends. However, that doesn't mean its single-player campaign is a dud.
"We are not deliberately punishing solo players or incentivising them by making it harder. It's a great single-player game, period," a spokesperson from the company said. "We don't use a stick, but rather a carrot, to get people on board with multiplayer."
