'Suits' Season 3 Pays Tribute to 'Game of Thrones' With Game of 'Suits' Promos
It is common in television for actors to move around from show to show. It's how they expand their career. It's how they make money. Sometimes, two or more characters from one show will join the cast of another together. Unfortunately, this can draw unwarranted comparison between the two shows, even if they're polar opposites. Although this can be a burden on the producers, it's best to embrace it and work with what you've got.
The producers of "Suits" did just that. This season will host two actors from HBO's smash hit series "Game of Thrones" and out of respect for the show, USA network is releasing an ad campaign that pays homage to Westeros and all those that make it so wonderful, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The ad features season 3 guest stars Michelle Fairley, who plays Catelyn Tully, or Lady Stark, on "Game of Thrones," and Conleth Hill, who plays Varys, which is titled "Game of Suits." Accompanied with the short ad is a print ad that features "Suits" star Gabriel Macht in the same blue light of the season 3 "Game of Thrones" character ad campaign with the familiar quote, "I understand the way this game is played."
On the upcoming season of "Suits," Fairley plays Ava Hessington, a British entrepreneur who heads a successful international oil company that is faced with a lawsuit that could cost her the family business. Hill will return as a guest star as British firm president Edward Darby.
