Hermes Apple Watch will be Released this Friday: Styles, Price & Everything You Need to Know Before Shelling Out
The Hermès Apple Watch will be available online starting Friday, a few months after it was initially released.
According to The Verge, this is the first time that the watch will be made available online since its release last October.
This is good news to Apple fans who won't have to head to Apple Stores or Hermès boutiques just to grab the special version of the watch.
MacWorld added that the watch was only available for purchase in select Apple and Hermès stores, including in Toronto, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York as well as in Europe and Asia.
When it was launched last year, the stainless steel watch came in three styles and five French colors. It was priced between $1,100 to $1,500, depending on the size of the case, and the style of the band.
The available colors are Fauve (brown), étain (grey), Capucine (light brown), Bleu Jean (blue) and Noir (black).
Discussing the styles, MacWorld noted that it has three leather band designs -- Double Tour, Single Tour and Cuff.
The Double Tour can be wrapped around one's wrist twice, while the Single Tour is similar to the straps found on a horse's girth. Finally, the bulkier Cuff design will come with a Fauve strap, and will be the most expensive, with its $1,500 tag.
iMore earlier reported that Apple partnered with Hermes due to "parallel thinking, singular vision, and mutual regard," noting that it did not want to stick to traditional technology and methods.
On the other hand, Venture Beat highlighted that the device was carefully crafted to represent a great partnership of the two companies.
Quoting a marketing tagline of the new watch, the same report said that the timepiece was crafted and designed, taking into consideration both beauty and utility.
"With leather straps handmade by Hermès artisans in France and an Hermès watch face reinterpreted by Apple designers in California, Apple Watch Hermès is a product of elegant, artful simplicity -- the ultimate tool for modern life," read the product's tagline.
According to The Verge, Apple also partnered with Hermes to make the Apple Watch known as a luxury item worldwide.
It added that since Hermès is a respected and known brand in the fashion industry, it has become selective of the brands it partners with.
For Apple's part, MacWorld said that this is also the first time for the tech company to include "so much branding" of another company on its products.
Fashionista claimed that the availability of the wearable device may encourage the fashion industry to buy the Apple Watch Hermes prior to Fashion Week.
