After the announcement of his fight versus lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 197 this coming March 5, Irish mixed martial arts fighter Connor McGregor did not waste time to speak ill of his opponent.

On his official Facebook page, McGregor announced the fight for the UFC Lightweight World Championship, which will happen at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The fighter noted he will dedicate his "demolition job" to the people of Brazil who have remained loyal to their country, and to those faithful to their roots.

"Mr. McGregor has said that Rafael is a traitor to his people and vows to 'behead the American Gringo Rafael Dos Anjos, in the name of La Brasilia!'" read the Facebook post.

According to MMA Fighting, the Irish fighter could be referring to the residence of the Brazililan-born Dos Anjos, who is now living and training in Huntington Beach, California.

For his part, McGregor boasts that he trains in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, but still maintains his home in Dublin, Ireland.

Daily Mail noted that the fight will be McGregor's chance to be the third UFC fighter to win two belts.

His last victory was against Jose Aldo last December where McGregor won in just 13 seconds.

It was added in the same report that the featherweight champion has aimed to move to Dos Anjos' current weight division, which is at 155 lbs.

Dos Anjos has previously defended his title versus Donald Cerrone last month. He also defeated Anthony Pettis in March last year.

On the other hand, MMA Junkie explained that the Brazilian fighter will not be an easy competitor, since he has also won his five last fights and is now "at the No. 1 lightweight in the world."

It also noted that Dos Anjos is also the betting favorite by oddsmakers.

Another title fight for UFC 197 is the match between Holly Holm and Miesha Tate.

Review Journal said this will be Holm's first title defense after she knocked out Ronda Rousey at UFC 193, and claimed the women's bantamweight belt.

The winner of the bout will reportedly face Rousey again at the upcoming UFC 200. A rematch between Holm and Rousey is an exciting one, since Rowdy has been very vocal of her plans to take down the former during their second fight.

In addition, Bloody Elbow noted that UFC 197 will air live on PPV, and tickets will be sold starting Jan. 22.

An official news conference on the fight is set to happen on Jan. 20, Wednesday.
