Argentina Apple Store to Follow After Mexico Opening
After opening retail outlets in Mexico City, Apple Store is expected to expand to Argentina, and then head to other South American countries.
According to iProfessional, Apple will not only concentrate in Mexico for its retail expansion efforts, but will also bring the brand directly to Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
In addition, MacRumors noted that the stores in these other countries will "work closely" with those which will be established in Mexico and other parts of Latin America.
It also noted that Apple already has two existing stores in Brazil -- one in Sao Paulo and the other in Rio de Janeiro.
Apple Insider detailed that despite the absence of Apple Stores in the region for the past years, it has maintained online sales and various "country-specific" stores.
The tech company earlier confirmed in a Sopitas report that it will indeed open Apple Store branches in Mexico City.
"We are very excited to begin the process of hiring the team that will open our first Apple Store in Mexico, a country rich in art, culture and history. We are excited to provide our valued customers in Mexico City service, training and entertainment that Apple customers around the world love," the company said in a statement.
There is still no news on where the first branch in Mexico will be. However, Mac Rumors claimed that the first store in Mexico City will be built in Centro Santa Fe, the biggest shopping mall in Latin America.
The second is believed to be located in a prominent shopping stop in the city, and will reportedly adopt the design of Apple in its stores in Dubai, Brussels, and Cupertino.
It was noted in an RCR Wireless report that Apple will also have stores in Guadalajara and Monterrey, Mexico.
These stores, as per MacRumors, are part of the 25 "global flagship" retail stores that the company is planning to establish, along with the renovation of some of its major retail shops in the United States.
After the announcement of the Apple Store opening in Mexico City, the company posted a list of their 13 job openings for the area.
The job offers included positions like store leader, service specialist, inventory specialist, creative instructor, manager, business manager and market leader.
For the market leader, Poder PDA said Apple is looking for a person who can develop individuals for a team in helping the growth of Apple Stores. This candidate should show leadership and strategies needed for the new branch to excel.
Meanwhile, a service specialist should be able to help customers maximize their use of the Apple technology.
