Brazilian Fighter Fabricio Werdum Enjoys Family Time Before Cain Velasquez Rematch
Prior to his rematch with Cain Velasquez in February, Brazilian MMA fighter Fabricio Werdum spent time with his family to celebrate the 8th birthday of his daughter, Julia.
Ole mentioned that Werdum took his family to the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, during the holiday season.
It was added in the El Comercio report that the MMA fighter went to the theme park with wife Karine, and his two daughters, the other being Joana.
According to Christian Post, the two went against each other at UFC 188 in June last year in Mexico. Velasquez bowed to his opponent in a third-round submission.
Now, they are set to face each other again at UFC 196 on February 6 on Las Vegas and Werdum is confident that he will once again be the victor.
He mentioned in an MMA Fighting report that that Velasquez should be careful about his right arm.
"And now, just asking Cain Velasquez, be careful with the right arm, it's my specialty. Don't come inside my guard, please, because, hey, be careful with the right arm," Werdum noted.
Bleacher Report added that the fight for the UFC heavyweight title should not be taking place, as Velasquez suffered various injuries after his loss to Werdum. It added that UFC fans also have little interest in this upcoming fight.
But it also claimed that the rematch remains to be a compelling fight for some because they are excited to see how Velasquez will recover.
"Werdum's development has been intriguing to watch, and it's easy to expect something bold and new from him in the rematch," added Bleacher Report.
Despite this, the same report predicted that Werdum will take the match by a Round 4 submission.
Werdum seems to be unstoppable. MMA Mania noted that he won nine of his last 10 fights and earned the heavyweight title.
With the UFC success that he is enjoying, the 38-year-old MMA fighter has noted that he has no plans of retiring yet.
"Now that I'm getting rich, why would I retire? No way, I want to make history! I want to be considered the best heavyweight fighter in history by the fans. I started beating Fedor Emelianenko, Mark Hunt, Cain Velasquez, a long list," Werdum said.
He also claimed that he has always been considered an underdog in the past, but he was able to prove that he could transition from a jiu-jitsu specialist to a great MMA fighter.
