Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach Won't be Sharing Her Crown With Colombia's Ariadna Gutiérrez

Reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach is not very keen on splitting the crown with Colombia beauty Ariadna Gutiérrez after the controversial crowning night in December.

In a report Monday, Entertainment Weekly recalled that fateful night when renowned comedian, host and radio personality Steve Harvey announced Miss Colombia as the new Miss Universe and immediately took it back, admitting that a mistake was made.

After that, Donald Trump and several others have been suggesting that the two should share the crown and all that comes with it.

In fact, even Miss Colombia herself liked the idea and thought it would be a good way of making up for the "humiliating" announcement.

"It was very humiliating for me, but also for the whole country and for all the people not only from Colombia but the other Latinos that were in the auditorium," she recently explained to the state's W Radio station cited by People.

However, Miss Philippines deems it "a little difficult" in an interview with ABC's Good Morning America (via Yahoo News) on her first official day as Miss Universe.

"I think it would be a little difficult for two girls to share a crown. But I have high hopes that this will give great opportunities for me and Miss Colombia, and the rest of the contestants," she said.

In the interview, she also lauded the Miss Universe host's gracious way of handling the mix up.

"It's live television. People make mistakes and Steve Harvey was very gracious to apologize. I accept his apology and I think it speaks a lot about his character," she stated.

When asked if she would want Harvey to return to host the show, she did not hesitate to agree and even described him as "a breath of fresh air."

"Yeah, why not? I think he's a breath of fresh air, he made us feel very relaxed, the contestants. It makes us show our personalities a little bit more. I think that benefits everybody, especially the viewers," she told Good Morning America.

After the colossal blunder, the host-comedian approached the girls to express his sincere apology personally, over several Tweets.
