'Arrow' Star Colton Haynes Responds to Sexuality Claim

When Colton Haynes appeared in "Arrow" as a petty thief who captured the heart of Willa Holland's Thea Queen, you have to admit, she was spot-on when she said he looked like an Abercrombie model. Of course, it also helped that he was actually a model in real life.

However, recent events had fans wondering about his sexuality. People reported that on Saturday, a Tumblr user posted about her excitement about Haynes's "past." The user said, "when I found out colton haynes had a secret gay past i got so excited even though i know it makes absolutely no difference in my life."

Haynes has neither admitted nor denied the fan's claim. Instead, he reblogged the post on his own Tumblr account, commenting, "Was it a secret? Let's all just enjoy life & have no regrets."

Speculation about the actor's sexuality has been ongoing for a while now, considering that he has never publicly commented on it until he mentioned it in this somewhat cryptic post.

The media exploded with support for the "Teen Wolf" alum, many of them supporting him. One fan tweeted, "If Colton Haynes is gay, then I am really happy that he was able to do this,"

Still, others remain unsurprised by the news, with one tweeting, "Why is everyone so shocked about Colton Haynes coming out, he's been out since he left the womb."

Despite keeping mum about his sexuality, there are other things that the he did share with his fans, one being a mental disorder. In December, the 27-year-old actor opened up about his battle with anxiety on Twitter, in a series of tweets that promoted awareness. He shared, "For those of you who are suffering with intense anxiety...ur not alone. It's been a constant struggle for me since 5th grade. It's a battle. Anxiety had put me in the hospital a countless amount of times. Whether it be fainting, hyperventilating, or seizures...I've been through it."

The last time that fans saw Haynes on "Arrow" was in Season 3, as he left the show when his contract ended. Realty Today did note, however, that he is returning in the twelfth episode of the current season, just after the midseason hiatus. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed his return, adding that production wanted to reintroduce Haynes's character, Arsenal, in the series with the right plotline. He shared, "It was always our intention to have him return following his departure last season."

"Arrow" returns from its mid-season hiatus with its tenth episode on January 20 on the CW.
