Sony Xperia SP, Xperia T Update Release Date: Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Leaks for Download
Sony Xperia SP and Xperia T owners who are tired of waiting for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to land on their devices will be pleased to know that Android 4.3 ROMS have now leaked onto the Internet and are available for download.
The leak comes courtesy of XDA Developer DooMLoRD, the very same tipster who recently leaked screenshots of Android 4.3 running on the Xperia SP and Xperia T. DooMLoRD admits that the ROMS are based off developer versions, but that he was able to get them to work on consumer production models as well.
Sony Xperia SP owners of models C5302 and C5303 can find build version 12.1.A.0.256 (Android 4.3) for download here, while Sony Xperia T owners of model LT30P can find build version 9.2.A.0.278 (Android 4.3) for download here.
As usual, if you're not experienced in flashing, it's best to simply wait for the official rollout. According to DooMLoRD, the builds are polished, and the official rollout should be near. DooMLoRD also notes that since these firmwares were meant for internal testing, some features could be added or taken out in the final release.
While DooMLoRD did not provide an official changelog, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Xperia SP and Xperia T should be similar in content to the Xperia Z Android 4.3 updates. This means that Android 4.3 for the two devices will bring the latest version of all Sony apps, Sony's Smart Social Camera, and a Stamina mode to increase battery life.
