HTC One X9's To Sport a 5.5-Inch 1080p Display & 13 MP Camera? [Specs, Photos & Release Date]
The release of the One X9 smartphone from HTC is still unannounced, but the hype about the device certainly remains at an all-time high, especially after new images of the gadget were leaked online.
In a report posted Wednesday, Techno Buffalo cited Chinese-language website Anzhuo, who apparently revealed unofficial photos of the upcoming HTC flagship phone.
This comes after a couple of blurry images and unofficial renders surfaced cited in a previous report from the outlet, showing what the One X9 would look like outside.
Based on the images, Techno Buffalo described the device to look "pretty nice overall" and, with the rumored specs, this sentiment also extends to the 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and a 4-UltraPixel front snapper.
According to Android and Me, the device will also have two versions like that of the One A9: one powered with 2GB worth of RAM, matched with 16GB of storage, and another with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory.
It is also said to be run by a MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795 processor and powered by a 3000mAh-capacity battery.
Design-wise, the One X9's bezels were decreased, with the home button removed altogether, while the body is now slimmer, smaller and made of metal alloy.
The headphone jack and microSD card slot is placed at the bottom of the device, together with the charging port, and also sports front-facing BoomSound speakers.
The phone's display is expected to surprise at 5.5 inches 1080p feature, matched with a 1920×1080 resolution.
Back in November, popular leaker LlabTooFeR revealed via Twitter that the new device, for release this coming first quarter of 2016, is coming a couple of months earlier than the realse of another HTC flagship phone, called M10.
"HTC E56 (One X9) targeted Q1 2016. Device will be positioned lower than HTC One A9. It will be released 2-3 months before flagship 'M10,'" the post read.
With this in mind, Techno Buffalo speculated that it is possible that the company is aiming for the Consumer Electronics Show or the CES in January, or possibly the Mobile World Congress in February.
Either way, Android and Me believes that upon its release, the HTC One X9 will be made available to Asian markets, noting that it would come as no surprise if the international brand extends their reach to the West, particularly in Europe, after a couple of months.
Of course, all of this remain mere rumors until HTC releases an official statement or announcement to confirm or debunk these statements.
