'Elder Scrolls Online' Free to Play on Xbox One, PC & Mac this Weekend! [Details]
Fans of "The Elder Scrolls" and those wanting to know what the game offers are in for a treat as the "Elder Scrolls Online" will be free this weekend.
According to Irish Examiner, the game will be free until Dec. 14 (Monday) for all Xbox One, PC and Mac users.
As early as 8 a.m. on Thursday, the game was ready to be downloaded to the Xbox One. Players can now start experiencing the game as soon as the instalment has finished.
"There's extra special good news too - if you take part in the Free Play Weekend and like what you see, you can buy the full game with a 60 percent discount and keep your progress," added Irish Examiner.
Aside from this, the game also enables players to have the chance to win $1 million, just by playing "Elder Scrolls Online."
Eurogamer explained that for players to be eligible for the $1 million draw, they should register an account and play the game this coming weekend.
"That $1m, should you win it, will be paid to you in 20 annual payments of $50k," the same report explained.
Downloading the free offering will allow users to experience the Bethesda-developed game, which is an open-world adventure they can play with friends and other players online.
Irish Examiner noted that this is more exciting since the updated version of the game added more content to it.
The Elder Scrolls website revealed that the game's story revolves around the clash of three alliances who all claim Cyrodiil, "the heartland of Tamriel, and the chaos of war spreads to every province."
These allies join each other on the battlefield to fight against plans to pull Tamriel to the "Oblivion" realm.
Describing Tamriel, the game website states that it serves as the home of the explorers, where players can see dungeons and ruins for the quests in the game.
Released last year, "Elder Scrolls Online" reportedly gathered mixed responses from the gaming world, as per Gamespot. It noted that most players observed that the game's base structure was inconsistent.
"It's a fun distraction at first, but the second you pay any real attention, you notice that characters have the emotional range of a lower-tier soap opera and that every line of dialogue is pure exposition devoid of spark," added the same report.
It also mentioned that the adventures make gamers quickly lose interest in the game.
But with the free gameplay offering this coming weekend, let's see if other players will react differently to "Elder Scrolls Online."
