Apple and Samsung are about to go head to head yet again, come 2016. Both tech giants are due to release their next generation flagships, the iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy 7 next year.

Both tech giants are known to be bitter rivals when it comes to the infamous smartphone war. The iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 are already bound to be the most highly anticipated phones of 2016. Both phones have already become the favorite subject of rumors, even when there have been no official announcements from Apple or Samsung as of yet. Tech analysts like to make their predictions earlier on, making their predictions based on each company's trends in the past.

Tech Times reports that although the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are still fairly new in the market, there are already speculations on the Internet about Apple's upcoming iPhone 7. Apple follows a tried and tested formula for success. It is expected that the iPhone 7 will be unveiled in September of next year, as with a roster of new Apple products.

There have already been a slew of rumors regarding the rumored phone, including the one where it is assumed that the iPhone 7 will come without a home button or a headphone jack. The Touch ID will also be incorporated somewhere in the screen. The iPhone 7 will also be running on a powerful A10 chip and will most likely feature a new kind of display screen. The next iPhone is also said to support wireless charging and will have an improved battery life.

Not to be outdone, the South Korean tech giant will also be releasing its next generation flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S7 next year. Samsung is expected to release its next generation flagship in February of next year. This will be the South Korean company's 'edgiest' design yet, with edged screens at all sides. Samsung is also expected to incorporate a Force Touch feature on the Samsung Galaxy S7.

According to rumors from Computer World, the Galaxy S7 will be 'faster and cheaper' than the iPhone 7. The Samsung Galaxy S7 will also be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow fresh out the box and will use the Snapdragon 820 chipset. It remains to be seen if there is any truth to the rumors. Tech analyts have already speculated that next year will be another big and competitive year for both companies.

For now, there is very little basis to support these rumors, so take everything with a grain of salt.
