Nokia C1 Release Date & Price: See Alleged Smartphone Running on Android’s Z Launcher! Specs & Features Here [Rumor Review]
Nokia will be getting back in the smartphone game by releasing its latest offering, the Nokia C1, by 2016. While Nokia has been relatively quiet with regards to their latest smartphone offering, rumors have been circulating all over the internet that the Nokia C1 will be running on two operating systems.
Know Your Mobile reported that the Nokia C1 will most likely see a release date before the fourth quarter of 2016. While Nokia has sold its smartphone business to Microsoft, the said timeout in an agreement between both companies would expire in the fourth quarter of 2016. This means that Nokia can now act on its plans to re-enter the smartphone market with the Nokia C1.
Nokia has been relatively quiet regarding its smartphone release. The rumored project has been kept under wraps for quite some time. Even the leaks that have been released thus far have been thought to be very cleverly doctored fakes. The company seems to be buying its time and is learning from its mistakes made in the past. The company also seems to be taking a cue from tech giants Apple and Samsung by releasing two variants for their flagship. If rumors are to be believed, Nokia will be releasing two size variants for the Nokia C1, but there are no confirmations as of now if there is any truth to this.
Based on the leaks of the alleged smartphone, the Nokia C1 looks very similar to the iPhone 6s, only with thinner bezels. The Nokia C1 also seems to feature a thin metal body and a coloured glass with a polycarbonate back panel.
The display size is rumored to come at either 5.5in or 5 inches. The display screens will come with a massive Full HD resolution. There are already rumors that the Nokia C1 will come in two size variants with the 5 inch model featuring 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage space, and an 8MP camera. On the other hand, its larger partner will have 3GB of RAM, a 13MP camera, and 64GB onboard storage. Both phones will reportedly feature 5MP front-facing secondary cameras.
Gadgets 360 also reported that the newly leaked image shows the Nokia C1 running the Android Z Launcher on the Android platform. The rumored Nokia C1 is said to come in three color variants: grey, white, and peach. Many tech analysts have noted that the brand seems to be deriving much of designs from Apple's iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. The Nokia C1 will also be available in Windows 10 Mobile variants.
