Joseph Gordon-Levitt Tries to Win Miss Piggy's Heart with a Serenade?
In the new episode of "The Muppets," Joseph Gordon-Levitt was seen serenading the show's female lead character, Miss Piggy. The two started singing together and looked extra sweet.
According to People, the newly formatted ABC series got another A-list celebrity guest with the 34-year-old actor. He showcased his singing expertise along with the group of the Muppets.
For the latest installment, "Going, Going, Gonzo," the filmmaker was a guest at Miss Piggy's own talk show, "Up Late with Miss Piggy." Together, they sang the number one classic and number one hit, Frank Sinatra's, "Fly Me to the Moon."
The two shared the stage together and swayed through the rhythm of the music while he occasionally touched Miss Piggy. They looked very romantic, as Gordon-Levitt was even caught kissing the hand of Miss Piggy.
Gordon and Miss Piggy's moment seemed to be perfect, when suddenly Kermit the Frog and the rest of the gang faced a problem with their props. Behind the scene, they were very worried as their improvised moon swayed uncontrollably in the background.
Unfortunately, the amphibian's headset was not properly working, which made him unable to signal the two singing characters. However, they still continued to sing together, with the the teaser ending with Gordon saving Miss Piggy.
Meanwhile, Daily Mail added that the Gordon-Levitt joined the famous "Lip Sync Battle" of the stars and nailed his performance of Janet Jackson's, "Rhythm Nation." Complete with makeup, cap and ponytail, the star of "Don Jon," took the competition seriously.
He even showcased his dance moves and synchronized every step with his backup dancers against his competitor, Anthony Mackie. His perfect rendition was very timely for the one-hour holiday special.
Gordon completed his "Janet Jackson" impression with pink blush, eye shadow and the signature military suit. His opponent, who imitated "2 Legit 2 Quit" looked very much surprised and didn't see any of it coming.
Also, the show's host, LL Cool K, was impressed with Gordon-Levitt's one-of-a-kind performance. Chrissy Teigen, on the other hand, was just laughing her guts out in the corner as she watched.
Watch "The Muppets" every Tuesday on ABC at 8|7c. The "Lip Sync Battle" will be back in January 2016.
Meanwhile, Daily Mail noted that Gordon-Levitt will also star the Christmas comedy film, "The Night Before," together with Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackie. The film will hit the theaters Nov. 20.
