Nokia C1 Smartphone May Run Two Operating Systems? Release Date, Specs & Features
Nokia might once again surprise everyone with its resiliency. Contrary to popular belief, the brand is far from dead, and if reports are to be believed, it's even in the process of releasing a new smartphone, the Nokia C1.
Newly-leaked images have surfaced on the internet, showing Nokia's alleged latest offering. While at first glance the unannounced smartphone might look like any other phone in the market, the Nokia C1 will reportedly be running two operating systems, Tech Times noted.
Nokia heavily promoted its Windows phones in the past. While the company seemed to be in hiatus for a while, there are reports that the Nokia C1 just might be the comeback Nokia needs.
There were initial reports that the Nokia C1 will be going the Android route. However, later teaser images have revealed the alleged device to be running on a Windows 10 operating system. Nokia has given no official announcement on the rumored handset as of yet. With that being said, it is hard to tell if the company will be releasing the Nokia C1 in two different variants or whether it will be running on two different operating systems.
As told by Times of India, Nokia has not been very vocal on the news of its new smartphone. However, a smartphone with the ability to run on two operating systems would be interesting. The candybar style phone looks quite like the iPhone 6S, only with thinner bezels.
This comes to no surprise as the Nokia N1 tablet, also running on Android looks similar to the iPad Mini. Nokia has remained silent about their latest offering and seems to be leaving much to the imagination regarding its specs and its features. Tech analysts are speculating that the Nokia C1 will be the brand's next generation flagship and that top-tier specs are to be expected.
More speculations can only be available at this point, but Nokia is probably weighing down the possibilities of which operating system would most benefit its latest smartphone. Various websites are even debunking the leaked images, saying that anyone can make teaser images if one has the skill to do so.
As per GSMArena, the Nokia C1 is touted to have a 5-inch display, a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, 8 MP (primary) and 5 MP (secondary) cameras, 2 GB of RAM and a 32 GB internal memory.
While no official news has been released yet, it is speculated that the Nokia C1 will be released next year. Remember that these are rumors, so always take everything with a grain of salt.
