Anne Hathaway Pregnant With First Child
"Princess Diaries 3: Royal Baby": is there going to be a new heir to the Genovian throne?
No, not really, but the film's Princess Amelia, Anne Hathaway is expecting her first child with her husband Adam Shulman, reported Us Weekly.
The 33-year-old actress has always been vocal about being a mother. In a previous interview shortly after she wed Shulman, she had been candid about wanting to start her own family. She shared, "I'm the only one...who's not a mother. I hope to join the ranks soon. I really want to have a baby."
On The Telegraph in 2012, she expounded on her wish for a large family, saying that "I'd like to have a few naturally and adopt. I gotta get on it, you know? I'd like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time because you want to make sure each one feels special."
Rumors of Hathaway's pregnancy started a couple of months ago but was only recently confirmed by E! News on Friday, when she was photographed in Beverly Hills with what appears to be a baby bump.
There has been no word yet on whether or not the Oscar-winning actress is having a baby girl or boy (or even both!) but sources shared, "Anne is in her second trimester and feeling great!"
However, as the Sydney Morning Herald reported, this isn't the first time that rumors of Hathaway's pregnancy reached Hollywood rumor mill. The outlet noted that E! News host Giuliana Rancic spread rumors in 2013 during the Golden Globe's red carpet that Hathaway was pregnant. The Los Angeles Times also mentioned that just this April, they were also said to be looking into adoption, and that didn't happen, either.
However, as LA Times mentioned, the actress was seen looking "a bit thick" around the middle during the premiere of "The Intern" in London, where she asked the media to skip any maternity-related question.
That being said, there had been no comments from either Hathaway or Shulman's reps either, which means that even though there are rumors of a baby bump, (check out the photos from E! News to see for yourself) this rumor should still be treated as such: a rumor.
One thing is for sure, though: Hathaway always wanted to be a mother, and it seems like she's finally getting everything she's ever wanted. The baby is going to be just precious.
