'NCIS' Season 11 Spoilers: Tony Gets Involved in an Odd Love Triangle

By Jessica Michele Herring | Jan 03, 2014

"NCIS" will feature both love and heartbreak when it returns from its brief hiatus.

According to TVGuide, team members will have a potentially inappropriate love triangle, and another team member will have a near-death experience that will change their life.

Tony (Michael Weatherly) has not shown any interest in dating since he lost Ziva. But when the show returns, another woman will pique his interest. But there's one major problem: she's already dating his father.

In the series' 250th episode, which will air in late February, Anthony DiNozzo Sr. (Robert Wagner) will reprise his role to introduce his son to his much younger girlfriend, who ends up striking Tony's fancy.

"This woman could potentially be Tony's new stepmom, and a big part of the story is her age and the awkwardness that brings to Tony," said executive producer Gary Glasberg. "Prior to meeting her, Tony tries to find out as much as he can about who she is."

The new woman could drive a rift between Tony and Anthony Sr.

While Tony will get involved in a romantic entanglement, another agent will face a more perilous problem.

The international terrorist Benham Parsa (Karan Oberoi) will return in January for a three-episode arc that will result in "a critical injury" for a familiar character, Glasberg teased.

"This event," Glasberg said, "will impact this person for his or her future and prove devastating to the team for the remainder of our season."

Glasberg also said that the "Parsa story is going to come back in a big way," and will set in motion "a roller coaster ride for a good portion of the winter." Susannah Thompson will also reprise her role as Hollis Mann in the episode, and Wendy McKenna's Dr. Cranston will come back a week later to help the team deal with a crisis.

The next episode of "NCIS," called "Kill Chain," airs Tues., Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
