By Jonnalyn Cortez| Nov 24, 2015

The 2015 American Music Awards delivered the finest performances by the biggest A-lister celebrities at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday. The annual event was full of unexpected happenings as it honored the bests in the music scene.

According to Forbes, the show kicked off with Jennifer Lopez, the night's host who donned 10 jaw-dropping outfits, in a steamy dance number of the 2015's greatest hits. Other performers who made the evening alive were Gwen Stefani, Ariana Grande, Carrie Underwood, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Leon Bridges, Walk The Moon, Coldplay, Nick Jonas, One Direction and The Weeknd.

Alanis Morissette also graced the event with a stunning duet of her 1995 hit "You Oughta Know" with Demi Lovato. Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth also performed "Marvin Gaye" and "Like I'm Going To Lose You," the production ending with a steaming smooch.

Miss Piggy also had her share for at the AMAs as she and her former lover, Kermit The Frog, teamed up for a commercial spoof of Adele's breakthrough track "Hello."

Luke Bryan and Karen Fairchild sang their new song "Home Alone Tonight." Jared Leto gave his emotional tribute to the victims of the tragic Paris terrorist attack, as well to the victims of violence around the world.

Later, Celine Dion delivered a perfect rendition of "Hymne à L'Amour" in French while the images from the City of Lights were playing in the background. Billboard reported that Selena Gomez shined bright for the night as she performed "Same Old Love" with disco balls and fireballs.

Her former boyfriend, Justin Bieber, closed the program with his final performance of his hit singles "What Do You Mean?" and "Where Are U Now."
