Samsung W2016: New Android Phone Features Two 3.9-Inch Screen? Specs, Price & Release Date
Samsung has unveiled a new Android phone that can be flipped and has two displays.
India Today said the phone has been dubbed the W2016 and is listed on the company's website for China. The phone has a 3.9-inch display on the inside and another on the outside. These screens have a Super Amoled panel with a WXGA (768x1280 pixels) resolution.
In addition, Samsung's newest device also comes with a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and a non-expandable 64GB of built-in storage.
"The 4G LTE capable phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based TouchWiz UI on top," added India Today.
Meanwhile, NDTV Gadgets said the W2016 will have a 2000mAh battery though there is still no word on its talk and standby time.
But the listing of the device reportedly reveals that is supports fast charging with the phone getting a 50 percent charge for only 30 minutes. On the other hand, its measurements are 120.4x61x15.1mm and has a weight of 204 grams.
As for the camera, IndiaToday noted that the phone has a 16-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Meanwhile, NDTV gadgets said that the sensors of this phone's camera would be the same as those of other Samsung high-end phones like the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, and Galaxy Note 5.
"Connectivity options include: 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, and Micro-USB," India Today added.
Android Headlines said that the device is expected to come with a China Mobile network but noted that it could be available in other locations in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Clapway reports that there is a possibility that the phone will also come to India since Samsung has previously introduced flip phones in the country in the past like the Galaxy Golden. It was launched in the Indian market last year.
Though no release date has been divulged, this will definitely be an anticipated phone since it is "one of a kind" and not something the public usually sees in the market.
Along with the W2016, India Today said that the Korean mobile company also added on its listing the Galaxy J3 with its full specifications.
"The Galaxy J3 has a 5-inch HD Super Amoled display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which is expandable by up to 128GB via microSD card," noted India Today.
It will have an 8-megapixel camera at the back with autofocus and LED flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter.
