Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update: Android One Devices Get Powered by New Google OS
Google has already rolled out a new update for its latest operating system known as the Android Marshmallow, providing selected devices with minor of under the hood security fixes.
On top of the Internet giant's priorities for the Marshmallow update 6.0.1 are the Android One devices which include the Philippine-made handset Cherry Mobile Android G1.
News about this came from Twitter user LlabTooFeR who posted screenshots of "About Phone" information
According to Android Authority, the screenshot posted by the leak provider LlabTooFeR seems to be a snippet from an Android G1 device because of the model number "H220."
Interestingly, the snippet of the update shows an Android security patch level date of December 1 which led Techno Buffalo to believe that the update has been released earlier than scheduled since it was released on November 22 per the outlet's source, Android Authority.
"Assuming the roll-out isn't a mistake, it would seem to imply that Google has already finalized the updated built into said patch despite this month having just over a week left," Android Authority explained.
The outlet further noted that no information has been released as to what this update is yet though general assumption circulating over the Internet says it basically contains bug fixes and performance improvements.

It also cited other speculations that non-Android One devices might be upgraded to Android 6.1 instead of undergoing the same process but those are mere rumors and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Among the devices that are rumored to be scheduled for an Android Marshmallow update, says the VC Post, includes the Moto X Pure Edition (2015) which has reportedly been scheduled to receive the update on the first quarter of 2016.
It also revealed that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow has already been rolled out to Moto X (2014 as well as 2015's Moto X Style and Moto X Pure Edition in India and Brazil per a statement from Motorola Mobility Software Product Manager David Schuster posted on November 12.
According to the Motorola executive, the full deployment of the upgrade would be finished a few weeks from the posting of his statement and that there would be a notification on the device when it is already available.
Improvements provided by the new Android Marshmallow includes a System UI Tuner hat provides UI tweaks once activated, a battery management feature called "Doze" that automatically makes the device go into "a deep sleep state" when not in use, a RAM manager that allows the user to view the an app's RAM usage and many others.
