Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge Specs & Features: Samsung Flagships Enter AT&T Testing Stage for February 2016 Launch? [Rumors]
Good news for Samsung fans: it looks like the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are coming earlier than expected. As cited by the Tech Times, the SM- G930A and SM-G935A, believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are currently being tested by AT&T.
The company's flagship phones have been making headlines recently, signaling that Samsung is on its way to launching its next generation models. Their Exynos 8990 processors are believed to power the gadgets and are reported to be well on their way for mass production by December.
Then, EV Leaks, which is as reliable as it can be when it comes to their leaks, posted a message on Twitter that read, "AT&T is already testing both Galaxy S7 variants (SM-G930A and -G935A), adding weight to rumors of an early- to mid-1Q16 release."
Tech Times noted that rumors have come around to say that the next gadgets are set to be unpacked at an event by February 21, 2016, which is only a little over three months away.
So what do we already know about the upcoming Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge phones?
According to the Phone Arena, there is not much that is known yet about the new models, however, rumors suggest that t will come in two variants each, with either Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processors. The regular version will come with a 5.2-inch display, whereas the edge may feature a 5.7-inch or a 5.8-inch version.
Other updates from Trusted Reviews noted that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will also mimic the iPhone's 3D touch with loads of new features including iris-scanning technology, and a body fat checker. It is said to have a better battery life than its predecessor as well and will come equipped with the next mobile OS -- the Android Marshmallow.
As for the accessories, the new models will come with cool new accessories that include keyboard covers that can cover the lower part of the screen with full QWERTY keyboards. There are also S View Covers, Glitter Covers and Clear View covers to choose from, just to give the phone a bit of pizzazz.
Of course, all these are just rumors, and should be taken with a grain of salt. However, it's never too early to dream up the next smartphone, and so far, even the rumors regarding the S7 and S7 Edge are looking good.
