Motorola Droid vs Moto X Style Pure Edition: Price, Specs & Feature Comparison, Head-to-Head Comparison
Motorola introduced a Moto X Style Pure Edition doppelganger in the form of the Droid Turbo 2 exclusively manufactured for the U.S.-based telecommunications provider Verizon Wireless.
Some observant users cited by Tech Times noted some impeccable similarities between the two smartphones with only the availability in the market as their major difference.
The outlet placed the two side by side to compare the more minute details some of you may have missed including the Droid Turbo 2's thinner and lighter body with a 0.36 inches thickness and 6-ounce weight compared to the Moto X's 6.31 ounces and 0.44 inch.
Like any other recent Motorola smartphones, both of the devices are full customizable based on the users preference, lifestyle and needs.
Before it was released, Verizon teased fans of its upcoming new Droid phone via a Twitter post where the company described it as "the perfect phone for imperfect people."
This may be because of the company's promise that the Droid Turbo 2 has a display that is guaranteed not to crack or shatter thanks to the Moto ShatterShieldTM technology compared to the less-new Gorilla Glass 3 that is sported by the Moto X Pure.
Aside from that, an Android Central quick comparison also noted the big difference between the devices' battery life: the Droid Turbo 2 has 3760 mAh while Moto X Pure only has 3000 mAh.
This means the Droid Turbo 2 can last for up to two full days without the need of recharging.
Both devices are tied up with the same operating system (Android Lollipop 5.1.1) and RAM (3GB) but their performance differ a little bit since the Droid Turbo has a Snapdragon 810 octa-core Adreno 430 GPU while Moto X Pure has Snapdragon 808 hexa-core Adreno 418 GPU.
In terms of image capturing capabilities, the Droid Turbo 2's 21MP rear snapper is matched with a phase-detect autofocus feature while the other device is not.
Internal memory options also differ with the Droid Turbo having a higher minimum storage of 32GB and the Moto X Pure providing the market an extra choice of 16GB.
Either way, both devices seem to be a favorite in the smartphone market especially since they come in what Android Central dubbed as an "amazing contextual experience" thanks to the exclusive Motorola features like Moto Actions, Moto Display and Moto Voice.
These features make use of gestures and voice commands in a way that benefits its users contrary to some instances when they make using smartphones more difficult, per Android Central.
