'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' News, Release Date & Cast: Bradley Cooper Shares Big Spoiler about the Film's Plot
Bradley Cooper reveals some major plot details about the sequel of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" which involved Peter Quill's alien father.
Cooper, who voiced "Guardians" member Rocket Raccoon, revealed some juicy spoilers to MTV about the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" in a regular interview about his new flick, "Burnt."
Based on the actor's confusing statement, Thanos is the estranged father of the team's leader, Peter Quill a.k.a. Star Lord.
"I don't know anything. But Josh Brolin's the villain, no? Or he's the main villain, no? He was in the first one, he played whatshisname's Dad. You know who I'm talking about? The Dark-Lord... the main guy," he started.
Yahoo News noted that at the end of the first movie, the Nova Corps analyzed Quill's body after he endured the power of an Infinity Stone.
The first "Guardians" movie revealed that Quill actually has alien DNA "ancient beings" without giving any background on the said race, making a good cliffhanger on the story.
And this is exactly what Cooper may have revealed.
"You know... he says 'You messed up son', like 'You think I'm gonna answer to you' and he gets mad at his dad... no that was on the first movie. You saw it though?" he added.
He then continued to describe the scene, saying: "Remember when he's talking to his dad - he's the huge guy sitting in the chair, hovering in space... Thanos! No, I mean I don't know anything but I thought that was his dad. Maybe I misread it."
From the looks of it, Cooper had been revealing details that he should not have since his "Burnt" co-star Sienna Miller giggled at the secrecy breach.
"Oops... you just leaked a Marvel script, Bradley," the actress told Cooper.
In a quick attempt at damage control, "Guardians of the Galaxy" helmer James Gunn took to Twitter to clarify that the actor could not have known such details of the sequel since he has not read the script at the time of the interview.
"In response to all the stories coming out, Bradley Cooper didn't reveal anything. He just got the script and hasn't read it yet. I promise," the director wrote.
He also answered a Twitter user's query in a post that read: "That has not been revealed and Bradley doesn't know the main villain (or didn't at the time of the interview)."
