While 2013 saw the confirmation of many different games and consoles being in development, several projects being created as still tightly guarded secrets. To highlight some of the biggest mystery projects rumored for 2014, here are the top five mystery projects in the video game industry.

5. The Amazon Gaming Console- It was rumored in 2013 that Amazon, the online retailer giant, would be putting out their own video game console similar to the OUYA. However, despite the rumors and even some job postings that seemed to confirm the project, so far Amazon has remained silent about the project. It remains to be seen if Amazon does indeed intend to get into the video game market or not in 2014.

4. Grand Theft Auto on PC- Rockstar has left it up in the air if the massively popular game will come to the PC, despite a successful petition drummed up interest in a port of the game. While every other game in the series has made it to PC at some point, nothing has been confirmed so far. With a rumored launch of the PC version of Grand Theft Auto being pegged for the first quarter of 2014, this rumor is something to look out for in the coming months.

3. Halo 2014- A Halo game has been confirmed for 2014, however Microsoft and 343 Industries have refused to discuss the game after it was revealed during E3 2013. Is the new game Halo 5, or is it a prequel or spinoff game? Fans will have to wait and see what the newest Halo title will be like whenever Microsoft is ready to deliver the news.

2. Fallout 4- Bethesda has not commented on if the game is in the works, and while there have been fake teaser sites for the game and alleged details about the game leaked, so far the game remains a big mystery. With Bethesda working on many other projects, it may be some time before fans see Fallout 4 even if the company is secretly working on the game.

1. What forms will Steam Machines take? - Some Steam Machines have already been revealed, but with Valve not making their own Steam Machine, other companies are free to get creative with their machines. Will companies and fans favor Steam machines that act like small-scale PC's, or will the Steam Machines that are modeled after consoles are the favorite? Finding out about new Steam Machines will be the biggest mystery of 2014.
