Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate’ News, Gameplay & Trailer: How To Unlock the Third Playable Character & Everything You Need to Know About Her
Ubisoft has finally revealed the third playable character in "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" and she's female. While it may not be such a big deal to have female playable characters, this one happens to be a big deal due to the issue with "Assassin's Creed Unity" and its "animation complications."
Besides, the new female character is a breath of fresh air in the AC series.
So who is she?
The character's name is Lydia Frye; she's the granddaughter of Jacob and is an assassin in London during the first World War. According to website Twinfinite, game players will complete missions on behalf of Winston Churchill as Frye serves as his "dagger in the night".
So how can you access the character?
The website said that players will have to find a rift to WWI London, which in turn is located on the eastern side of the map on The Thames. Upon entering, the players will find themselves to an old character -- Juno -- who will inform them about the new world. Juno is expected to turn up several times in completing missions to inform players of interesting facts such as the creation of humanity, to keep things straight when they get a bit confusing to even the long-standing fans.
That being said, "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" has a whole bunch of side quests that introduces a very different London -- one attacked not only by Templars, but by other nations as well.
Eurogamer has noted that it will take about 10 hours before players can access the WWI missions, although it reportedly took them 15.
As for Lydia herself, she is noted to be a cross between Jacob and Evie: She can withstand punishment but dish it out just as well like Jacob, while she's noted on being quick and agile like her great aunt.
In other news, iDigital Times said that the game will be getting twice the number of patches, with community develper Gabe Graziani saying that rumors about the patch requiring 18 GB of space are not true, although there will be two available patches instead. "We actually have two patches that will be available on Day 1. The first patch (titled 1.10) will be 541MB, the second (titled 1.11) will be 534MB. Not sure where 18GB came from... neither of the patches you will need to download are anywhere near that big," he wrote.
"Assassin's Creed Syndicate" is now available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Check out Lydia in action in the video clip below.
