'The Voice' Season 9 Contestants, Auditions & Premiere: CeeLo Green Wants To Return to the Show, Will Producers Let Him?
In the wake of his felony drug case, American musician CeeLo Green says he is ready to return to "The Voice" if they would accept him.
The former "The Voice" coach openly expressed his wish to return to the reality talent show after he reportedly had "grown personally and professionally," the Associated Press reported.
"I've talked very possibly about doing 'The Voice' again. So I just kind of put that out there, wishful thinking, kind of willing it. Because I would love to do it again," the rapper-record producer said in an interview.
According to the outlet, Green had made an abrupt exit from NBC's award-winning show in February 2014 after he was changed in a felony drug case after he allegedly gave a 33-year-old woman ecstasy while they were dining at a Los Angeles restaurant back in 2012.
During the case, he entered a "no contest" plea and was sentenced with community service.
Of course, the case did not pass without consequence which included the cancellation of his TBS reality series "The Good Life" and the loss of several concerts and opportunities.
Just last month, Green had also been accused of Tweeting questionable statements like, "People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!" says The Wrap.
While the original post cannot be traced as of the writing of this article, some Twitter users were able to get a snapshot of the alleged post.
Now, he is offering his "deepest, sincerest apologies for any inconvenience, any ignorance, any ill will, anything," according to a more recent report from the outlet.
"It was a very redefining moment in my personal and professional life. I get in front of my creator, humbled, and I ask, 'What does this mean? What is this supposed to mean for me? What am I supposed to learn from it?' And [to] have that revealed and have it bestowed upon me is a blessing, of sorts," he said.
Currently, the singer-producer remains under probation after he had already completed his sentence though he wishes to return to the show.
He is also about to release a new album called "Heart Blanche" on November 6, 2015.
"I feel really strong and really confident about this album and going forward. And I'm so grateful that you yourself, and everyone who just may happen to witness this particular interview, have my deepest, sincerest apologies for any inconvenience, any ignorance, any ill will, anything," he stated.
There had been no word if CeeLo Green would be allowed to return to "The Voice" which currently has Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Pharrell William and Gwen Stefani in the coaches' seats.
