Fossil Q Smartwatch Unveiled: Watchmaker to Release a Whole Line of Fashionable Android Wearables, Starting at $125
The eye-catching Fossil Q smart watch has finally been revealed with features and a price would definitely be perfect for the Christmas season.
According to Tech Radar, Fossil disclosed more information about their new line of the wearable devices on Wednesday, with a tag price ranging from US$125 to $275.
The family of smart watches includes the Q Dreamer and the Q Reveler which both has a counting fitness tracking feature and can be linked with the user's smartphone.
Both the "Dreamer" and the "Reveler" have a vibrate as well as color LEDs that serve as notifications on updates from their wearers' smartphones.
The outlet further described the "Dreamer" as a smart device that is dedicated to socializing though they seemed unsure how to make of the "Reveler" which "dares you to be bold and explore more around you."
Engadget, on the other hand, deemed another member of the Q family as the centerpiece for the whole line: the "Q Founder."
According to the report, the device which sports a circular face is Fossil's "long-expected Android Wear smartwatch" and is described in a PR News Wire report as "a powerhouse packed into an elegant package"
PR News further described the "Founder" as a smartwatch that can be customized based on the user's personality and preference via simple gestures like a swipe and a tap.
Furthermore, this device is reportedly the fruit of collaboration between Fossil, Intel and Google and is engineered with powered by Android WearTM as well as Intel® Innovation.
Fossil's chief creative officer Jill Elliott-Sones revealed in a statement what motivated them to create the new line of device.
"Our customers are obsessed with their personal sense of style and staying connected, and we are thrilled to enter into this emerging category with an answer to their needs," she explained, adding that the Fossil Q family has been the fruit of "countless hours of meticulous design expressed through a playful curious lens."
"Our hope is the unique attention to detail in both our connected accessories line and app cue our audience to try new things, be more curious and experience the world around them like never before," she added.
Another good news is that all Fossil Q smartwatches are made compatible with iPhones and Android phones alike via a Fossil app that can be downloaded from the Apple Store and the Google PlayStore.
All Fossil Q smartwatches would hit the shelves on October 25.
