‘Halo 5 Guardians’ News, Release Date & Trailer: New Multiplayer Details You Need to Know
With just over a week before the "Halo 5: Guardians" is released, its game developer has revealed more information about its multiplayer playing field like the ranking system and ban policy.
Gamespot said game developer 343 Industries will track gaming behaviors such as quitting matches, excessive disconnects, idling, betrayals or team killing and intentional suicides.
343 Industries added that this move was a way "to maintain the quality of the Arena experience and sanctity of competition, a number of rules are in place for all Arena playlists."
"If you repeatedly engage in negative behaviors such as the ones listed above, you will receive a ban and be prevented from entering matchmaking," added the game developer.
Each ban for the player will depend on the type of offense and should expected to be harsher with repetition of rules violation.
Aside from this, 343 Industries also noted that player cannot join an Arena match when it is already in progress.
"You will get a fresh match every time without fear of putting your hard earned CSR (competitive skill rating) at risk and joining a losing team in the middle of a match," added the game developer.
Meanwhile, Gamespot detailed that there will also be matchmaking for the game which will prioritize match quality over other factors in the game.
"This begins by attempting to find other combatants at your exact CSR. If that's not enough, the pool will be widened to include players who are 'around your same skill,'" noted Gamespot.
There is also this co-called "Seasons," which will be available in December and will let players reset their CSRs and again play their placement games every month, as per The Mary Sue. This feature is perfect for those players who are not happy with their rankings.
The game reportedly has seven ranks -- Bronze, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Onyx and Champion -- which you could weave your way through by winning matches and improving your individual performance.
Gamespot added that there are six tiers for each rank before you can proceed to the next. The Onyx and Champion are said to be different from the others.
In a similar report, Gameranx said when a player reach the Onyx Rank, he or she will be given a CSR score.
"Once you get there, subsequent wins will go purely to increasing that score. On another end, you can earn Champion Rank by ranking in the top 200 players in a playlist," the same report explained.
As for medals and commendations, players should expect that these will come with additional incentives as they reach higher levels.
Expected be available on Oct. 27, the "Halo 5: Guardians will be exclusively released on the Xbox One.
