Demi Lovato Unveils New Emotional Ballad 'Stone Cold' Prior to Album's Release [Listen]
Demi Lovato dropped a brand new emotional ballad "Stone Cold" prior to the release of her upcoming album "Confident."
"Stone Cold" is the third track to be released out of the former Disney darling's fifth studio album, MTV noted. "Cool for the Summer" and "Confident" were unveiled earlier, with a music video set to roll out for the latter on Friday.

The 23-year-old recording artist is hopeful that the track will capture the Grammy committee's attention. In the accompanying interview for her recent Complex magazine cover, Lovato said that a Grammy award or even a nomination is an important career goal for her.
"When I say getting there, I don't mean winning one. I just want to be nominated for one. You can't go higher than the Grammys in the music industry . . . I watched the Grammy nominations last year and I was like, 'I want to be there so bad.' It really gave me that kick in the ass to make music that was worthy of it. This is a song that I feel like is worthy of notification," she explained to Complex.
Lovato continued, "Everything in my entire singing career-all of the guitar lessons, all of the voice lessons, all of the songs that I wrote when I was 8 years old, when I was 15, writing six songs a night, all of the touring-would be worth it. That's what it means to me. It's literally everything."
The full track listing and the album cover of "Confident," which will be released on Oct. 16, were unveiled on the singer's Instagram page. You can pre-order the record on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.
Lovato said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the album will feature sexy songs just like "Cool for the Summer." But there are also soulful tracks that will reflect her fearless attitude as an artist and a person.
She also swears that the whole vibe of "Confident" will put her beside Rihanna and Nicki Minaj in terms of living up to their badass messages in their songs, according to a separate report from Entertainment Weekly. Lovato also said on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" that "Confident" will feature different types of music, such as rock/pop, "provocative songs," and "a lot of rhythmic flares."
Last February, Lovato revealed that the new album will be her "best work yet" and will showcase "game changing music," adding that the record will be "authentic" and will represent who she really is and the voice she has inside.
