As for "Christmas Melody's" filming updates, Cincinnati.com reported that production crews were in Hyde Park on Tuesday and in downtown Wyoming yesterday morning.
Mariah Carey's Christmas movie, initially titled "Mistletoe & Melody," is slated to air on Dec. 19 on the Hallmark Channel, according to the schedule posted on the US cable and satellite TV network's official website. It will be a scripted TV film which is going to be part of Hallmark's yearly "Countdown to Christmas" shows.
'"A Christmas Melody" is the second Hallmark Channel movie shot here in three years by producer Brad Krevoy and the Motion Picture Corporation of America," John Kiesewetter of Cincinnati Public Radio wrote. "They filmed Nicollette Sheridan's "The Christmas Spirit" mostly in Lebanon in October 2013, and aired it on the Hallmark Channel in December."
Aside from being the second Hallmark movie, this is also the second film shot in the city this fall season. "Marauders" starring Bruce Willis and Christopher Meloni is now in its second week of production with location specifically set in Downtown Cincinnati.
As for additional casting news, Brennan Elliot will play as Danny Collier for "Christmas Melody," as listed on International Movie Database official website.
Mariah Carey will not appear in the movie, but reportedly, her music will be featured throughout. Moreover, aside from the movie, the "All I Want For Christmas Is You" diva is also busy with a lot of other things. For instance, Daily Mail reported that she just unleashed her own lipstick line with Mac Cosmetics. Inspired by the nineties era, the "beautiful champagne shimmer" lipstick will also be released in time for the holidays.
"M·A·C has been my go-to makeup brand for as long as I can remember and I'm so thrilled to be collaborating with them on a lipstick debuting this December, just in time for the holiday season!" the actress shared.
This year, Mariah Carey also had her Las Vegas residency, performing her hit songs at Ceasar's Palace. It started May 6, 2015 and it is set to end next year, Feb. 22.
