Jojo New Album Release Date Set for Early 2016; Tour Kicks Off Nov. 2
After her successful 2006 "The High Road" record, Jojo is set to hit the spotlight once again with a new album slated for early next year release date. Also, her new tour is commencing next month.
The singer was asked by Entertainment Weekly about what she feels when people tell she's making a comeback. Asked if she agrees with it, she responded, "I guess I agree, yeah."
"But it's kind of weird," the 24-year-old singer continued. "It puts a lot of pressure on it, you know what I mean? I just feel like, this is the next chapter of my career that I've been waiting for, you know, just to be able to put out music. But, yeah, it kind of makes me feel, like, heavy. [Laughs]. And I'm also 24, so I feel like I'm just starting,"
Aside from updates about Jojo's new album release date, it was also reported by EW that her upcoming LP is going to be about "love and other drugs."
"Love is my favorite thing. [Laughs] I think I'm definitely not alone in that," Jojo explained when asked for the reason for picking that theme. "And I tend to be like a serial monogamist, so since I was 15, I've been in and out of love. And I have especially struggled, gone up and down with self-love, so I wanted to touch on that too."
Jojo's new album will include her three recently released singles, namely "Say Love," "When Love Hurts" and "Save My Soul." Moreover, Ace Showbiz reported that Jojo will be promoting her new album via a tour.
Called "I Am Jojo," the 23-date tour will kick off on Nov. 2, 2015 at Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis and scheduled to end on Dec. 20 at the New Orleans Hi Ho Lounge. Some of the cities included in the tour are New York, Houston, Washington, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
