'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Air Date, Spoilers & Cast: Jon Snow Alive? Kit Harington Back on Set!
"Game of Thrones" actors and producers are messing with fans' heads. After all the denial in the months since the season 5 finale, it seems that Kit Harington is back on set. In photos via the Daily Mail taken on Friday, Harington was spotted in his Jon Snow costume, complete with a sword and blacks with crew members.
Fans swarmed the internet after the photos leaked out, as this is more than enough proof that Jon Snow, a character favorite in the series, is definitely alive.
However, Harington already let his return slip in an interview. Huffington Post reported the actor saying, "The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract ... Let's just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over."
Harington also admitted that he's still under contract with the series. The contract famously involves his Jon Snow locks -- he is not allowed to cut it off as long as he's playing Jon Snow, and so far, they are still long and luscious.
Michael Lombardo, on the other hand, has worked to quash rumors of Jon Snow's return, telling reporters in July, "Dead is dead is dead. He be dead ... Everything I've seen, heard and read, Jon Snow is, indeed dead."
However, his return on set revived fans' hopes of his return, although considering that there is nothing impossible in TV shows. For instance, Jason Momoa's Khal Drogo returned for another episode after his supposed death in a dream sequence.
There are a few theories surrounding Jon Snow's return, among the most popular ones being that Carice VanHouten's Melisandre will be the one to bring the Lord Commander back to life after the brutal stabbing from the rest of the Night's Watch.
Another theory is that he could be back in some sort of flashback scene (or scenes).
In other "Game of Thrones"news, it seems that there could be a movie in the works. Author of the original book series, George RR Martin himself told The Daily Star, "There will be a movie. That is something HBO and the DB and David are dealing with."
However, he explained that he will not be involved in it, as he still has two books from the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series to finish.
The record-breaking Emmy Award-winning series will return for its sixth season in the spring of 2016.
