'Chicago PD' Season 1 Spoilers: New Trailer Debuts, Two Actors Leave Series [Video]
The police of the upcoming series "Chicago PD" are led by a fearless leader who isn't afraid to go off book.
A new trailer for the series shows Jason Beghe as Hank Voight, the hard-edged head of the intelligence team on the "Chicago Fire" spinoff series. Voight isn't afraid to go rogue, and stands by his unconventional methods. "This is our unit now. You do things my way," he tells his crew in the trailer.
In the promo, it shows Voight exchanging money surreptitiously, getting violent with a perp and saving the life of a "Chicago Fire" character.
Although Beghe is sticking with the series, TVLine reports that two actors who appeared in last season's backdoor pilot episode will not appear in the spin-off series.
Scott Eastwood and Tania Raymonde left the series before it began, opting not to appear in the NBC show. Both actors exited the nascent series over the summer for "creative reasons." In June, the series also saw the exits of Melissa Sagemiller ("Law & Order: SVU), and Kelly Blatz ("Glory Daze").
Sophia Bush of "One Tree Hill," Patrick Flueger of "The 4400" and Jesse Lee Soffer of "Mob Doctor" were added to the cast shortly after the other actors' exits.
"Chicago PD" premieres Wed., Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
