'Justified' Season 5 Spoilers: New Trailer Debuts Season Five's Big Bad [Video]

FX has released a full trailer for season five of "Justified" that promises lots of gunslinging and a new band of outlaws.

The new promo shows Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) facing off with some criminals, then Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) and Wynn Duffy (new series regular Jere Burns) look for trouble in Detroit and get "down to business" with Canadians.

Amy Smart's character also gets intimate with Raylan, and Michael Rapaport is introduced as the new big bad, Daryl Crowe, who is Dewey's (Damon Herriman) cousin.

Walton Goggins told TV Guide that executive producer Graham Yost is looking at the fifth season as the possible penultimate season.

"We're all looking at it as 26 episodes, not 13," Goggins said. "I am looking at this as the longtail of my 'Justified' experience. We're laying the groundwork for that." Goggins also hinted that the series won't go beyond a sixth season, but that has not been confirmed.

When season five resumes, Crowder will have to deal with the fallout from his wife's arrest in last season's finale.

"He's angry and he feels impotent. If he can't break through that glass ceiling, he's going to shatter it with his bullets," Goggins said. "He is in a place of volatility... that he's never been before in his life, and he's acting out in ways that I could not have foreseen."

The fifth season will also see Raylan back in Florida following a "white trash" criminal family run by Daryl Crowe. It appears as if the Crowes run an alligator farm, but their real profession is drug dealing and the occasional murder.

In addition to Daryl, there will be his sister Wendy, a paralegal with a ulterior motives, and his younger brother Danny, who is described as a "romantic sociopath."

Watch the promo for "Justified's" fifth season, which returns on Tues., Jan. 7 at 10 p.m. on FX.
