Emmys 2015 Winners: Complete List of Primetime Award Champs
It's that time of the year again when awards are given to the best in television. This year's Emmy Awards were announced at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Among the big winners, as noted by E! News, include HBO's fantasy series "Game of Thrones", FX's horror anthology "American Horror Story: Freak Show" and the Netflix political drama "House of Cards".
It has also been reported that this is a transitional year for the Emmys, considering that among the biggest players ("House of Cards", "Orange is the New Black" and "Transparent" for instance) are not television or cable shows per se, but rather original series from streaming services -- as The Verge put it, the Emmy Awards is now a "tripartite battle for prestige between networks, cable channels and streaming services."
