Donald Trump's Fans Insult Latino Protesters: 'Mexicans Are The Hairs of A**holes'
Donald Trump's supporters and Latino protesters have clashed in the Republican presidential candidate's recent rally in Dallas, Texas.
Lico Reyes, the Texas immigration chair of the League of United Latin American Citizens and organizer of an anti-Trump protest, and his fellow demonstrators gathered in a parking lot across the street where Trump's event is being held, Politico wrote. Reyes estimated that over 1,300 protesters were present.
"We need a voice that talks about justice, love, equality and that doesn't cut down people - that's not racist and in your face," Reyes said of the protest's purpose, as quoted by the news outlet.
A separate group of about three dozen demonstrators were behind metal barriers down the street, jeering at attendees lining up for the business magnate's event. Signs depicting Trump in Nazi apparel were held up as well. At one point, one protester shouted, "Raise your hand, racists" over a microphone at the attendees.
"The Mexicans are the hairs of a*sholes. Viva Donald Trump," one 30-year-old woman, who identified herself as Jackie," responded in both English and Spanish, Politico reported. She also told one demonstrator, "Clean my room, b*tch."
Another Trump supporter, 52-year-old David Loutz, told Politico that Trump won him over when he promised to deport millions of undocumented immigrants.
"This isn't going to be painless. They've been inflicting pain on us for 20 years. I was very humanitarian until the numbers became overwhelming," Loutz said, as quoted by the news outlet.
The incidents at Trump's Dallas event came after a security guard for the real estate mogul was recorded hitting a man during a demonstration earlier this month in NYC, Raw Story wrote. His supporters yelled "white power" in Trump's events, and a man from Boston (also a Trump fan) reportedly attacked an undocumented homeless month there in August.
Univision anchor and journalist Jorge Ramos, who is also feuding with Trump, recently ripped through the GOP candidate's immigration plan that includes 11 million people, ending birthright citizenship, and building a wall along the border between the U.S. and Mexico, Huffington Post reported.
According to Ramos, the price of Trump's plan will be extreme. Deporting 11 million immigrants in an 18- to 24-month period means that Trump has to deport 458,333 immigrants per month or 15,277 people per day, Huffington Post noted. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency estimated that it costs $12,500 to deport one person, which means that $137 billion is required to deport 11 million immigrants.
"Let me put it in perspective," he added, as quoted by the news outlet. "That means he would have to fill up 30 or more 747s every single day for two years, and this would be incredibly expensive."
