Nokia Lumia 1020 Update: Lumia Black Software Update Released With Camera, Battery, Bluetooth, Notifications Improvements
A software update has been released for the Nokia Lumia 1020 Windows Phone 8 smartphone, and it'll affect the device's camera and wireless network connectivity.
The Lumia 1020 update, known as Lumia Black and labeled as "3051.40000.134x.00xx," has rolled out, but it may depend on the device owner's mobile carrier. Lumia 1020 owners should tap "Settings" and select "Phone Update" to see if Lumia Black is available.
Five main updates are included in Lumia Black.
The first aspect of the Lumia Black update is known as "Daily delighters." Lumia 1020 users are allowed to place a lock on screen rotations and close apps easily via the app switcher. Users will be able to place custom ringtones for mail, messaging, and "other things."
The second aspect in the Lumia Black update is an improvement of the Nokia Camera, which combines the Nokia Smart Camera and Nokia Pro Camera that are available in the Windows Phone Store.
The third aspect concerns the latest version of Nokia Glance Screen. Lumia 1020 owners with the Lumia Black update will be able to see quick status notifications such as calendar and messages even while the screen is locked.
The Lumia 1020 smartphone owners will be able to preserve energy while utilizing Bluetooth 4.0 LE, which is the fourth aspect of Lumia Black.
Finally, the last aspect noted for the Lumia Black is an "enriched" camera performance, "enhanced" battery monitoring," and other stability and usability improvements.
